We wanted to provide a better user experience and reduce costs for our client by eliminating paper and increasing efficiency. Our team created a custom, cloud-based platform that facilitates the digital CPO inspection process from start to finish. An iOS app allows technicians to scan or enter a VIN to populate vehicle information and check for eligibility against third-party data sources. If the vehicle is eligible for inspection, multiple Vehicle History Reports are pulled for review, and the technician is then able to move through each section of the inspection. Validation ensures that no steps are missed, and additional assets, like photos of vehicle damage, can be attached during the process.
Once the inspection is complete, a technician can sign off and submit the inspection to managers at their dealership for approval. Management personnel have access to a backend system where they can view all inspections taking place at their dealership, approve or reject submitted checklists, and track analytics. Finally, all dealership personnel can access this same backend interface in order to view and download completed inspection records. Role-based privileges ensure that each employee has access to the components they need for their job.
